This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar local storage technologies Avturas uses on this website and in the Avturas application, and why. It's part of our Privacy Policy.
1. What counts as a "cookie" here
We use this term broadly to cover cookies as well as similar browser storage technologies (such as local storage and IndexedDB) that a site or app can use to remember information between visits.
2. What we actually use today
We currently use only strictly necessary storage — nothing more:
- Sign-in / session. Firebase Authentication stores your session locally (via IndexedDB/local storage) so you stay signed in between visits. Without it, the Service cannot function — there's no way to use Avturas signed out.
- Cookie notice preference. A small flag in your browser's local storage that remembers you've dismissed the cookie notice, so we don't show it to you again.
3. What we don't use
We do not currently use analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking cookies of any kind. If that changes — for example, if we add product analytics in the future — we will update this policy and, where required by law, ask for your consent before doing so.
4. Why there's no "accept / reject" banner
Under GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive, cookies and similar storage that are strictly necessary for the service you've asked for don't require opt-in consent — only a notice. Since that's all we currently use, there's nothing to opt in or out of. We still show a short notice on your first visit for transparency.
5. Managing cookies
You can control or clear cookies and local storage through your browser's settings. Clearing or blocking the storage described above will sign you out and may prevent the Service from working correctly.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy if what we use changes. If we make material changes — such as introducing analytics or tracking cookies — we will notify you and, where required, ask for consent before the change takes effect.
